Empirical Environment

Records the daily development work in real time. This is recorded by the project and the work content is recorded in the configuration management history (CVS), issue tracking history (GNATS) and the e-mail communication in the mail history (Mailman) respectively. The added workload of the developer for this data collection is insignificant.

Performs analysis of the collected data using analysis tools such as metrics measurement, project classification, collaborative filtering, code clone detection, and software component retrieval.
In this project, we will construct the analysis environment gradually based on collected data.

Feedback analysis results to actual projects, leading to improved productivity and reliability of software development.
